OOTD: How to Wear Houndstooth + Gap Houndstooth Sweater + Old Navy Rockstar Pop-Color Jeans

This past weekend, we had the greatest weather. This is my favorite time of year in Miami!

This Gap Houndstooth sweater is great! It was an impulse buy from Gap.com and I couldn't be happier with it (kids version still available) It's very, very soft and good quality.  And obviously, who can resist an adorable houndstooth print anything, really...I will say that the sleeves are a tad short on me - I purchased it in an XS regular and could have done just as well with a size S.  Gap has frequent online sales, and I got this one with a 30% off coupon! (currently use code GAPVOTEfor 20% off your purchase).

Hurry, because in true Gap fashion,  sizes in this sweater are, of course, limited (what is it with online shopping lately - why does everything sell out so fast? It's really annoying).

I love the contrast of the sweater with the electric blue jeans from Old Navy.  These are last year's Rockstar Jeggings that ran notoriously small (one full size, to be exact).  This year, Old Navy brought back this same style, and renamed them the RockStar Pop-Color Jeans, but according to the reviews on OldNavy.com, they still run a full size small. TAKE 25% off your Old Navy purchase with code ONTAKE25.

OOTD: Fendi Boston Bag + Gap V-Neck Sweater + Layering

Hi girls!  The weather in Miami has been great lately, it's starting to "cool off" a bit in terms of our weather and there seems to be a little breeze that has found it's way over to our city, and hasn't left (don't leave, please!) Edit: this post was obviously written prior to hurricane/storm/badweather Sandy....

These pictures were taken last weekend when we walked to the movies, at our typical Senior Citizen Discount time of anywhere between 10:00 - 11:30 AM.  Yes, we are 100.

Stella & Dot Trunkshow for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I'm so happy to be able to host an online trunk show for Stella & Dot whereby all of the proceeds from the sale of these items will go towards breast cancer research.
ALL of the proceeds, as in 100% of the net proceeds from sales will go towards the Noreen Fraser Foundation.  This is all thanks to Tracy Bennet, my Stella & Dot Stylist who will also be donating all of her commission to the foundation!

If you haven't yet heard, Stella & Dot has some beautiful baubles and they're even delving into other types of accessories, like clutches and scarves.  Speaking of scarves, I may or may not have a giveaway planned soon with some Stella & Dot goodies ;). Stay tuned.

Carlo Pazolini Store Opening: Merrick Park, Coral Gables

This week, I attended the Carlo Pazolini store opening at The Village of Merrick Park.  Carlo Pazolini is an Italian shoe and accessories line, with a focus on luxe and supple leathers, combined with a modern edge (I mean, check out the fourth photo down....amazing!)  While there are other stores in the U.S., this is the first store in Florida.
Photo credit:Nathan Valentine/ World Red Eye

The store itself is small, but completely streamlined and modern.  It utilizes all of its' space efficiently,  making for rows and rows of patent leather pumps, gorgeous bags, scarves and belts.  Really beautiful stuff.   I wish I would've snapped some pictures of the inside of the store, but the place was packed - no wiggle room.  Thanks to Erin Grant for the invite.

Carlo Pazolini is located at 320 San Lorenzo Ave, Coral Gables - Inside the Village of Merrick Park.  Check it out.

My favorite shoe of the night - I fell in love with this gorgeous thing!

Fashion For A Cause Miami, Wynwood Squat October 13, 2012

If you follow my blog you know that a couple of weeks ago I had lots of fun being photographed for a campaign to help raise funds for the fight against breast cancer (see full post here).

Myself and 26 other local bloggers helped participate in this great cause.  This Saturday, our photographs were displayed at Wynwood Squat, a space that houses local vendors, designers, artisans and a space that is also home to our little photographic exhibit.

Below are some pictures my boyfriend snapped the day of the photo shoot and some snapshots of the event last night.

I don't have many pictures from the event because my makeup melted off. Literally. It was about 10,000 degrees in there, but it was pretty cool to see all of the photos and meet some really sweet girls whose blog's I personally follow (Kara & Kirsten).  I also got to hang with my new blogger friend, Dee who writes The Haute Frugalista.  These girls are all easy to talk to, so sweet and unpretentious! Check out their blogs.

All the girls!

Since I lack any and all DIY talents, I basically rolled up the sleeves on the t-shirt, and paired it with a statement necklace and a full skirt.  I'm really loving full skirts lately!

Fashion Bloggers For A Cause Miami - Photographer Alexander Tamargo

I was recently approached by fellow Miami blogger, Annie of The Fashion Poet, to be part of a really phenomenally fun project: Fashion Bloggers for a Cause.  Highlighting breast cancer awareness month (October), Fashion Bloggers for a Cause is a campaign that features a group of Florida bloggers wearing the same t-shirt, styled their own way.  The shirt is being sold through local boutiques and online.  Proceeds from the sale of the shirt benefit the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.  Information on where you can buy the shirt and for a full list of the other participants of the project, please click on the link below.

OOTD: Badgley Mischka & Gilt City Miami 2012

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Gilt City Miami warehouse sale and snagged this backless Badgley Mischka dress. It was the second thing I grabbed (the first was a love-at-first-sight brocade and purple metallic thread Valentino cropped blazer that was todiefor but was also $500+ and so was left for someone else to take home).

It kind of reminds me of the blue flight attendant outfit that Britney wore in her Toxic video, right?
I totally love it.
It's from the Resort 2012 collection and apparently it's supposed to fit a tad more loosely than it does on me, but you gotta take what you can get at a wild sale!

...And the best part:
