Style File: Amal Alamuddin

amal almuddin clooney wedding

We need to discuss the most amazing fashion moments from this past weekend.
Could Amal Almuddin's style be more perfect? She has the best couture eye, prancing around Venice in the most stunning Giambattista Valli white cutout dress (the flower appliques are to die for), and opting for a white Stella McCartney Bespoke pantsuit for her civil ceremony, instead of a traditional white wedding dress.
Oh, yeah, did I mention that she made it official with George Clooney, also?
While we, in the fashion crowd, eagerly await (edit: they're heeeere) the first leaked photos of her wedding dress, take a tour down couture perfection and browse through her latest looks below:

Style File: Fall Fashion Favorites

It never fails: Fall Fashion lookbooks pop up in my inbox, the J.Crew catalog makes it's way over, and bloggers that I follow in cities like New York and San Francisco start to showcase their layering talents - all because other parts of the US actually have seasons, and experience a cool dip in temps.

In Miami, we have been experiencing what's now been, torrential downpours, for the better part of four solid months.  This year has been especially rainy, causing us to style looks with rain boots (coming soon) and umbrellas.
Thought it would be fun to talk Fall fashion picks, under the cut.

This is the Bobeau Asymmetricalconvertible cardigan from Nordstrom.  It's one of my favorite pieces because it's super versatile, soft and comes in over 10 colors.  It can be worn like this, as a cape, or open.  I have one in black and gray. I love styling them with black skinny jeans and combat boots.

Style File: The Bazaar Project, Design District, Miami

The Bazaar Project is a perfectly curated boutique in Miami's Design District helmed by owner Yeliz Titiz, a business savvy lady with a background in fashion merchandising and a well-traveled eye for the exotic.
Inside the stylish store you will find luxe homewares and jewelry; everything from geode coasters to handmade (by her) statement necklaces.

I took a tour inside this small shop on a Saturday, and had fun browsing the eclectic selection.  The Bazaar Project also stocks its shelves with soaps, candles, rings, clutches and caftans.

They have recently launched their e-commerce site so that you can buy things like this amazing necklace, online.  You can also register to receive 20% off your first online purchase!  You may have recently seen me sporting this beautiful bracelet from the store, and there's much more where that came from!

Located at 4308 NE 2nd Avenue, you can shop the store Monday through Saturday, and see why Mexican Vogue called this little wonder a place where you can relish in 'love letters from all corners of the globe.'

Outfit: Wynwooding

Weekend wear kept casual with a top knot, boyfriend jeans and a crochet crop top.

Bracelet c/o The Bazaar Project

This weekend I had a chance to collaborate with a local Miami boutique called The Bazaar Project.  The full post will be up soon but in the meantime, I snapped these pictures outside of Harry's Pizza.  There's something about a gray wall that serves as the perfect canvas for an outfit shot.

I love the hippy vibe this floral crop top gives off.  The high neck makes it perfect for a top knot and the angled cut of the neckline is flattering on the arms and shoulders.  This type of design in a top can be tricky at times and a bit unflattering if you're not careful.  It's not the easiest to wear but it looks really polished when done right.  A floral crop top can also be paired with a high waisted black pencil skirt for a more uptown feel.

Outfit Back to Basics: JCrew Black Silk Dress

I've had this long silk dress hanging in my closet for months now.  It was an impulse buy for me because it's got a strange length that I usually shy away from.  It's so hot in Miami right now, that even this dress was too much clothing.  I'm loving all of the Fall fashion and looks I'm seeing but, for now, I'm sticking with lots of sunscreen, hats and sleeveless everything.
