Mustard

Mustard is one of my favorite colors to wear, especially in the Fall.  You'll generally find me in jeans and a tee, which is basically this outfit, except I layered the textured yellow top over the most comfy white tank.  I'm a big fan of the rosette details on this top, and maybe that's why I didn't really mind that I paired the colors black and yellow - which in my eyes is a major bumble bee 'no, no.'

Boxy

Walking through this beautiful NYC burough, after TIBI, we stumbled upon quaint courtyards and streets. They had character and were a great backdrop for photographs. LAlso visited the Highline, which was crowded and buzzing with tourists and locals alike. This area of New York City is, like most, is alive with great culture, street style and food. After these shots, we headed over to The Spotted Pig, where we waited only about 10 minutes before having one of the best Cuban sandwiches I'd eaten in my life (and both my parent's are Cuban AND I was born and raised in Miami; my endorsement says a lot). By the way, the bloody Mary's aren't half bad, either. This little spot earned it's Michelin star in my foodie heart.

New York Fashion Week 2016

Pamella Roland show
Spending time in NYC always makes me feel happy. I've loved the city since I was young. Not unlike most, I feel the energy of New York and each time I go, I wonder why it's been so long since I've last been.  Attending New York Fashion Week was one of the best things I could have done. I learned so much on the trip, and was very fortunate in so many aspects.
Standout look at Custo Barcelona SS17
I had an amazing seat at Pamela Rolland next to the two nicest women. I was able to capture amazing images at Custo Barcelona.  I marveled at the beautiful colors and patterns at Cynthia Rowley.  I met Charlotte Tilbury and Pat McGrath, two of the industry's top beauty goddesses, sat across from Nigel Barker, photographed inspiring fashion, ate at the best places (without waiting?!) and was lucky enough to have the best friends in the city who let me use their beautiful apartment while they were out of town. It was an amazing experience and I was blessed by the way that each day of my trip progressed.

First Look: Bobbi Brown City Collection

City Collection compacts are perfect for traveling
To help celebrate her 25 year anniversary, Bobbi Brown has just launched the City Collection. A collection of makeup set to the tone of her three favorite cities: New York, London and Paris. In this grouping, you will find three limited edition eye and cheek palettes, with custom fashion illustrations by the artist Richard Haines, of the blog What I Saw Today.  These palettes are great for traveling because they're sturdy, come with a built in hinged mirror, and maximize space (the blush tray pops out and then slides back in to the compact).

Each palette retails for $65 and contains four shadows and one blush.  Get a sneak peak at this collection, below. As always, if you enjoy this content, you can follow along on my social channels. I had the privilege of going backstage at New York Fashion Week with Bobbi Brown, and filmed a video of my experience. You can watch it here.

New In Clinique

A few weeks back, I gave you a sneak peak on my snapchat (@FashionableESQ) into the new skincare and product launches for Clinque. After enjoying a beautiful breakfast at Pasion del Cielo, in Midtown Miami, hispanic media gathered for a chat with Clinique global ambassador, Stephanie Flores and learned about the new skincare and makeup launches. I'm detailing them down below, with swatches! Also uploaded a short little video showing the entire lip color shade range.

What's new in Clinique? The Clinique Crayola Collab!

The first product I want to chat about is the Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder Oil Free ($25.00): I will admit, it's been a long time since I toted a pressed powder because I love the feel of a loose setting powder.  A big drawback to loose powder is obviously that you can't take it with you. I live in Miami, where it's always hot and humid and where the makeup melts off your face. Guys, the Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder Oil Free is so good because you can take it on the go!  Blot out excess oil before applying, and then touch up your makeup while you're out. It's sheer so it's not going to cake over the makeup you already have on, it just leaves the prettiest matte finish on the skin. Check out the reviews this has on Nordstrom.com. It's highly rated.

First Look: Genesis G90; Vancouver Launch

Genesis G90 Automotive Launch Vancouver

Genesis G90 First Impressions
what to wear on vacation
Wearing: Shoes:Chinese Laundry Pom Pom Sandals. Dress: Splendid (similar here). Jacket: Blank NYC. Sunglasses: Sunday Somewhere c/o Bollare

As part of the Genesis G90 luxury sedan launch, we traveled outside of Vancouver after our stay at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. We test drove the G90's powerful engine, with 3.3 (or optional 5.0) LTR twin-turbo V6/V8,  through the winding, scenic roads of British Columbia. We stopped for coffee and treats along the way at the Owl Street Cafe, nestled high in the mountains. The 8-speed automatic transmission made the drive smooth.  We had lunch at Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna, and toured their onsite barrel room and wine cellar.  The G90's 22 way comfort settings, on the driver's seat,  made driving the 250 plus miles an absolute breeze and gave my lower back support.  It felt like I was seated in a recliner!
