Spring Cargo Jacket

I have searched high and low for the perfect, Miami appropriate, Spring time parka/ utility jacket.  I finally found it last week at Forever 21.  This baby is less than $35 and perfect, although the sizing is a bit on the larger side ( similar here and here) I am wearing an XS and you can see from the photos that it's slightly oversized on me.  I picked it up in the color 'light olive.'  We had the perfect bout of cool weather hit this weekend; a Friday night, cold rain downpour turned into a perfect Miami weekend.

Beauty File: So Susan Cosmetics

I'm currently obsessing over a new makeup and product line that I've discovered called So Susan.  I have always been a sucker for packaging.  A pretty box? I'll keep it forever.  I love makeup too, so it's an added bonus that the So Susan line comes packaged in adorable illustrated boxes (some with gold lettering and illustrated macaroons - so cute!).

I got to test drive some fun makeup from the line.  Below I'm showing you the products and  swatches.

Beauty File: Clarins Spring Line 2015

I was turned on to Clarins makeup and products a few years back, when I started to care about fine lines, spots, and all that other fun stuff that emerges on your face in your late 20's early 30's. Reading about the science that went into concocting their makeup and skincare line was what got me hooked. I will always be a Clarins loyalist now.  Considering all of the vitamins, botanicals, and good "skin food" that goes into their products, it's actually refreshing to know that their price point is not as high as you would think. Companies like La Mer and La Prairie also follow a scientifically based ingredients routine, but as you are all aware, their price points can be unreachable for the average makeup and product junkie.

Style File: Gucci Lady Web Bag

Taking a minute out of my Sunday to talk about the new, perfectly 70's, Gucci Lady Web bag.

It's a cross body, or a shoulder bag, that comes in more than five variations, including suede, python and crocodile.  Gucci categorizes this bag as hobo/shoulder bag.  The suede versions are my absolute favorite.  I can't get enough of that rich rust color, but I do also like the original Gucci print paired with the classic red and green striped strap.  This combination comes in two sizes, a smaller size and the larger, both pictured below.  There is also a classic among this family, the original GG Canvas Lady Web Boston bag and recently the Gucci Lady Convertible Wallet has debuted. This is a must have bag for Spring 2015. What do you guys think?

Outfit: How to Style a Tulle Skirt + Tutu

SoBlo Salon, in Coral Gables gave me a super sleek, straight look that I wanted to share with you all.  I really like wearing my hair like this, but, I am supremely lazy when it comes to blowdrying and styling my hair.  Luckily, the girls at SoBlo always take care of me.  For this set of pictures, I styled a white tulle skirt  (here, also here) I styled it two ways: one with a drop waist silhouette and the other, with a little bit of a higher cropped top.  I think that a drop waist creates a flattering look and that it is underused.  If done properly, it can flatter and hide the number one problem area one women (the lower half, thighs) and create the illusion of a slim waist.
