I really like liquid lipsticks! I think that they're generally creamy and long lasting. While some can be drying, I prefer them over a goopy gloss that's a like a venus fly trap for my long hair. Isn't that the worst? Then it streaks lip product all over your face. Ugh, awful.
Estee Lauder sent over three of their new Pure Color Envy Lip Potions which are akin to liquid lipsticks. I have three colors, Pierced Petal (220), Fierce Beauty (310) and Vague Obsession (420).
Consistency: These are velvety and opaque although Vague Obsession was the least opaque and required layering a few times in order to achieve the color in the swatch that's pictured above. They're very long-wearing. They're so long lasting that they actually stain your lips a bit when you're ready to remove the color. They dry to a semi-matte finish.
Ingredients: infused with avocado, jojoba, and sunflower oil.
Pierced Petal (220): a beautiful, coral-orangey shade. More coral than orange. Opaque.
Fierce Beauty (310): a bubbly and bright pink color. Opaque.
Vague Obsession (410): a very, of-the-moment, Kylie Jennerish, 90's lip shade, with muted and subdued brownish undertones, sort of like a brick color. It appears more orange in my swatch above, than it actually is.
Packaging: durable packaging in the brand’s signature navy and gold-tone, with a clear side view so that you can see the color that's inside.
Pricing: these retail for $30.
Summary: Love these. They're convenient because they are in a lip gloss applicator that shuts firmly, so it won't spill. They transfer vibrant color, and do not dry the lips.
