Getting my nails and hair done at the JULIEN FAREL Miami Pop Up for the Sony Open. Thank you Gwen & Jennifer! |
Betsy, the salon co-owner, gave me a perfect sorbet colored mani using Essie polish, while Jennifer curled my hair.
JF is also home to the Godiva haircut, and a braid bar that can take you from a boring midday style to an easy nighttime updo, and a line of great hair products created by the salon's founder.
Florals are once again, big for Spring and Summer. I do florals in doses. I'm picky about the pattern - the flower print has to be large. I love the color palette on this skirt because believe it or not, it's really easy to wear. It goes with everything. Because this was an outfit I wore to work, I toned it down by wearing a neutral tie neck blouse.
A tie neck blouse is another way to spruce up your work wardrobe. Layered underneath a blazer, these blouses look sophisticated. I prefer tying the bow loosly, so that it hangs and drapes, rather than tightly tying a knot or bow.
Disclaimer: JF has not sponsored this post. I genuinely like their services. The staff is the friendliest of any salon I've visited in the Miami area - that goes a long way with me.
