Design Element: Cocktail Bling Party

As a kid, I always loved digging around in my mom's closet looking for interesting finds. I'd inevitably steal some of the best stuff in there, and would leave her asking, 'Where did my ___go?" (For a truly accurate account, this must be read in Spanish, in "Mom Tone").  In later years, when my sense of style went from Kurt Cobain (Iwillalwaysloveyou) to Karl, she began taking little shopping trips in my closet.

Accessories are what we swap most.  Purses, necklaces, earrings, rings - all of it.  We both love over the top, big and bold accessories.

Thus: Cocktail Bling.

1. DANNIJO Oxidized Silver Plated Estrella Earrings - How stunning are these? Turquoise and Swarovski crystals.
2. Erickson Beamon White Wedding Crystal Earrings; similar pair here for much less.
3. Kenneth Jay Lane Orange Cocktail Ring (sold out on Stylebop after I made this post) but similar amber stone ring here.
4. Bardot Oversized Party Cocktail Ring
5. Monet Hummingbird Brooch
6. Kenneth Jay Lane Turquoise Bead Drop Earrings Try this or this instead.
 7. Giles & Brother Cortina Cuff

More affordable pieces:

9. ASOS Slanted Stone Cocktail Ring on Stretch Metal
10. ASOS Pieces Flica Cocktail Ring

  20. Yes! My best antique jewelry pieces came from my mom's closet. I would just go in and take them and tell her they were now mine.
