MAC Flamingo Park Collection and Swatches

MAC's Flamingo Park collection is currently in stores. It's a traditionally feminine collection with lots of pinky bubble gum hues. Some tried and tested favorites are back in this collection, like one of my all time favorite lipsticks, MAC St. Germain, and one of my favorite MAC pigments, Rose is included in this bunch too. One of the beauty powders from this group that I suggest is the Beauty Powder in the shade Sunny Surprise - you can get a great sheen / highlight from this.

Hugo Boss The Scent: This is delicious. A traditional cologne that is better suited for evening in my opinion. It's got really nice spicy, leather notes that are sure to elicit compliments. It has a traditional, "manly" scent.

Lacoste L.12.12 Rouge: Lacoste Rouge completes the vibrant and colorful spectrum of Lacoste Men's fragrances. This red version fits nicely alongside its other blue, white and yellow companions. The scent is a good day fragrance. The colognes in this line are typically long wearing and do not easily fade. The same goes for this one. It has a fresh scent, clean scent.

Leather Jacket: what guy doesn't want one of these?

New Shoes: Whether you're going with a classic men's look (Allen Edmonds Lasalle Oxford) or a sportier style (Chuck Taylor Ox Canvas Sneakers), Nordstrom is a pretty good place for menswear and accompanying accessories.

Update His Watch Collection: The gunmetal color of this Burberry option is masculine. How about an all-black Nixon watch? Aerin Ikat Jasmin Perfume: This is the most intoxicating scent. It smells of a fresh jasmine and gardenia garden. The bottle looks simple but chic. As one of the Sephora reviewers states, "This is the best thing I've ever smelled." Check this line out. It's 100% worth your time and money. The fragrances in this entire collection are great. Another one to check out? Amber Musk. Also, the new fragrance in the line just launched. It's Aerin Lauder Mediterranean Honeysuckle. If you gift your girl with this on Valentine's day, you'll thank me later ;)

Eyeko Makeup: For the makeup loving lady in your life. It-Girl Alexa Chung collaborated with London based eye beauty brand, Eyeko, to bring you a line of sleek and chic products. You will find mascaras, brow pomades, liners and shadows.  On my list of greats? The felt tip sharpie style eyeliner, and the mascara.  Me & My Shadow cream shadow and blending brush is literally like cement for shadow. It will never come off your eyes.

D&G Beauty Voyage Palette: I wrote about this recently. It's really fancy with great products. It comes in a velvet pouch, with a highlight/blush brush as well as small eye brushes that fit inside the compact. This will be a hit.

Lucifer Vir Honestus Jewels - this for-the-stars jewelry boutique just opened in Miami at the Ritz Carlton (Coconut Grove) and the jewels are absolutely stunning. Your girl will be blown away by the  unique, organic design of these pieces. While pricey, you can rest assured she'll be the only one in the room wearing anything as gorgeous.

Fendi Bags: My love of Fendi bags has grown more and more over the years. They break the bank but are, oh, so cool. The Fendi Peakaboo Mini Monster is back again for another season. Sure, it's overpriced, but what lady doesn't want a little monster on her shoulder?

Flowers: No. Brainer. 

Workwear Flow

You guys know I love a killer LBD for the office. You may think it's boring but for work, I tend to wear black all the time. It looks sleek and no-nonsense. Black dresses are an absolute must for any closet, but particularly, a working wardrobe.  I'm in love with the Rossana dress by Olga Pastyrnak. While this dress is seriously backless, it can work for the office if you keep a jacket on, otherwise, take it out for a night on the town because it's perfect.  TFE Pro Tip: when going backless - did you know that your tailor will sew bra liners into anything for about $15? Yep, blouses or dresses! Otherwise, these work wonders.

The tailoring on this dress is absolutely on point, hugging all the right places. The fabric is so luxurious and soft. It drapes and moves really well. The length is work appropriate. Another option from this line is the high waisted Patricia Skirt  (here in gray). While this piece would not work for the office, it is a good staple to stock your closet with. It's a more unique alternative to a basic pencil skirt, with a more interesting line and cut.
