No.7 Match Made Makeup

No.7 products
Drugstore makeup finds
As far as affordable makeup goes, No.7 is a great line to check out. The brand is established, and reasonably priced. They recently launched the Match Made app and product line, a group of products that are tailor-made for your skin tone and type.  Download the Match Made app online, and get started. Here's how it works:
  • Pick up the Match Made card at your local drug store (free)
  • Download the Match Made app (also free)
  • Rinse your face of all makeup
  • Hold the card up to the side of your face
  • Snap a photo
  • A few shots later, and your done!
  • You can also find a Walgreens store that matches you right inside the store.
The app reveals the correct, color matched No.7 products for your skin tone, including foundation and lipstick.  I think this is a great idea because part of what makes shopping for drugstore makeup difficult is that you can't test it out. With the app, there's no more guess work.

The new Moisture Rich lipsticks are opaque, and moisturizing AND super creamy. They wear well for hours, although there is some settling into lip lines with Honey Bloom (still my favorite shade). They feel very hydrating because they contain Shea Butter and Vitamin's E and B5.

They retail for $12.99 and come in 24 shades.

The No. 7 Match Made Bronzers are finely milled and creamy, although they're a powder formula. They feel velvety and leave a matte finish. Their retro mirrored compact and the embossed product gives them a luxe feel. Medium skin tones will likely go with the shade Caramel, while those with more fair skin tones can opt to use the shade as a contour.  Golden Sand is the lightest and has cool undertones, Caramel is the middle shade, with warmer undertones, and Maple is the deepest shade.

They retail for $12.99 and come in three shades.

The No.7 Powder Blushers are also smooth. They transfer well from brush to skin and last a while (for a blush). They are pigmented blushes! I love peach toned blushes so my favorite is Peach Velvet.

They retail for $12.99 and come in 8 shades.

The Radiant Glow concealers come in 7 shades. They're numbered from 10-70; in theory, number 10 is supposed to be the lightest shade in the range, with 70 being the darkest shade. However, I found shade 30 to be the most fair (and my match), even though number 10 should have been my shade (swatches below). The product itself is creamy, blends well, and offers light coverage. This does not feel heavy on the skin at all. As you apply it, you get a slight cooling sensation, which is nice. Use the app to determine which shade is the right one for you. The Radiant Glow Concealer's retail for $13.99.

The Stay Perfect lipsticks are the matte lipsticks in the line.  They're not so drying that they're unbearable. I tend to shy away from matte products, but these are comfortable as far as mattes go. They are highly pigmented. They're infused with Glycerin and Vitamin B5. My only gripe? I do not care for the shape of the bullet. I prefer a more traditional lipstick shape, like those from the Moisture Rich line.

They retail for $12.99 and come in 14 shades.
