The tuna tacos at Lure Fishbar |
The ambiance at the restaurant is really nice. The decore is nautical-sophisticate; wood paneling, and an old world feel. This particular evening was very rainy, and the space felt cozy. Starting off at the beautiful bar, the assortment of drink options is impressive. While you do pay South Beach prices for the drinks, it's one of the few places that makes the experience of emptying your wallet, a worthy one. The select drink is the "Catch and Release," a blend of vodka, dolin blanc vermouth, pressed watermelon, served with a watermelon radish and matching a frozen watermelon ice cube. Very refreshing and not overly sweet. A great cocktail.

Then, an unexpected and amazing surprise came to our table just before our main entree - this incredible Snow crab feast! This included oysters (blue point, and kumamoto), jumbo shrimp cocktail, and blue crab cocktail. The presentation was picture worthy. Everything was very fresh.
Dinner began with a complimentary appetizer of some tostones, with flavorful grilled shrimp in an avocado and garlic salsa. This was included in the Miami Spice menu.
Amuse-Bouche: complimentary ap. Tostones topped with sauteed shrimp with cucumber, avocado, garlic sauce. |
Option two: the Peanut Butter Chocolate Candy Bar - a homemade bar of delicious chocolate. The consistency is like a candy bar, not quite soft but not hard. It has a layer of chocolate mousse and is topped with passion fruit sorbet.
Overall, this was a superb dining experience. The food was so delicious, with the atmosphere and the service adding to a wonderful evening. Thank you, Lure Fish Bar!
Please note: a 20% gratuity is already added to your bill. The waitstaff do make it a point to tell you in advance.

Probably not the best night to wear a body hugging dress, but, I did! This black and white number is from Almost Famous clothing. It's super comfortable and generally figure flattering despite the horizontal stripes.
