These shots are from last week's Betsy Moss show at Bella Beach behind the Trump Tower International in Sunny Isles. Speaking of, the lobby of the hotel smelled so amazing. I wandered into the spa to ask what the fragrance was - they said it was a grapefruit fragrance by Thymes. Have you guys heard of this brand? They have candles, soaps, bath products, room sprays, etc. The hotel was out of the grapefruit fragrance and I'm starting to think they don't really sell it because I've googled it and searched the Thymes site and they don't offer it. A Trump ploy!
Anyway, if I had an oppulant bathroom or sitting area, these are the bottles I'd display and never use, because they're too pretty to touch.
I knew this event would be held oceanside so I considered being practical and wearing flip flops. You can see how well that went. Luckily the terrace extended throughout the back of the hotel, saving the day. Miami weather has been "cold" then warm, then "cold" again. This day was particularly warm, which is why you don't get to see my smiling face in these pictures, as I was basically a shiny, red mess. You know how everyone always looks radiant on the beach, when they lay out? This is not me. I am fair, with an undertone of red lobster. My plight.
My clutch is Danielle Nicole, who I love lately, and this Sienna clutch just reminds me of spring. It's a sturdy vinyl material. I wore this bag in a recent outfit post also.
These are my new J.Crew pleated shorts - they looked like a scratched linen but online they're called "structured cotton." These were an impulse buy and now I want every variation of this clothing item. They have them in nautical stripes, a beautiful bright teal. They sit on the hips (not too high) and have a side zip with a hook and eye closure. They're quality, quality material and feel like they'll last a long time. They have side pockets but for these pictures, I had not torn away the threading that closes the pockets (first time I wore them). My belt is also J.Crew and as with all things in their line, if it comes in a different color, I want it also, but exercised restraint and settled on this mint color.
This floral tiered tank by Drew is a go-to whenever I want something bright and classy. The print is really pretty and the material is a super soft silk.
