As part of the Genesis G90 luxury sedan launch, we traveled outside of Vancouver after our stay at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. We test drove the G90's powerful engine, with 3.3 (or optional 5.0) LTR twin-turbo V6/V8, through the winding, scenic roads of British Columbia. We stopped for coffee and treats along the way at the Owl Street Cafe, nestled high in the mountains. The 8-speed automatic transmission made the drive smooth. We had lunch at Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna, and toured their onsite barrel room and wine cellar. The G90's 22 way comfort settings, on the driver's seat, made driving the 250 plus miles an absolute breeze and gave my lower back support. It felt like I was seated in a recliner!

Before arriving at our final destination, we enjoyed the beautiful drive on Route 97. This highway was the perfect setting on which to explore the G90's capabilities. We were really comfortable, because this car is all about combining comfort, safety, and elegance. It has a very spacious interior (with more leg room than the Mercedes Benz S550), and the passenger seat also features comfort adjustments. While driving these roads can be a bit dangerous, the G90'sdriver attention alert, automatic braking, and smart blind spot detection assisted us in the event that anyone or anything got too close. The G90 is an NHTSA and IIHSTop-Safety pick, with a superior front crash prevention design. We knew we were in good hands.
If you purchase or own a Genesis vehicle, one of the greatest customer service features is that when you need to service your car, Genesis comes directly to you! They will take your car for service, while leaving you with a loaner. There's virtually zero hassle or inconvenience involved in the process, which I think is a really great detail about this line.
Our travels then led us to the Sparkling Hill Resort in the Okanagan Valley; with it's breathtaking views, and impacting entrance, it was the type of standard we had come to expect from Genesis. SHR is a Swarovski developed hotel, so throughout the structure, you will find 3.5 million Swaorovski crystals adorning the hotel! Whether they're in the rooms, or cascading from a wall like a curtain of sparkle, it's really a beautiful sight to see.

Genesis gave us the 5 star royal treatment that is the embodiment of the new G90 luxury sedan; they set us up with a KurSpa treatment of our choice. I opted for a massage, while others enjoyed the Cryotherapy, facials, and fango treatments. The world famous KurSpa is internationally known for it's focus on therapeutic, healing properties, that heal body, mind and spirit. This hotel is serene and the perfect place to go for a relaxing and quiet getaway. The entire experience was luxurious and perfectly executed.
After our stay at Sparkling Hill, we were sad to leave the Genesis team, but continued on our own adventures throughout Vancouver. This was an amazing opportunity, and I'm so grateful to have experienced it with Genesis.
With the Miami Auto Show coming up next week (9/10-9/18), Genesis will have the G90 on display. Stop by their section and check it out. This new model is a definite contender with the likes of BMW and Audi.
