Have you guys heard of Cheryl Fudge Fashion Camp? I had no idea what this was, until I was invited to attend a DIY night at their boutique in Coral Gables, hosted by Juliana of A Fashion Soiree. It is such a fun experience. It's a store with endless creative possibilities. You have the option of making purses, embellished tees, scarves, hair accessories, makeup bags, clutches, etc.
Once you figure out what you want to make, you can choose your fabric, ribbon trim, or other type of embellishment.
The girls from Cheryl Fudge will help you assemble your piece, and they will actually stitch, sew and put it all together for you. You can pick up your finished item at a later date.
It's a really cute idea to do in a group setting (they have large tables where you can all sit and craft together). It's family and kid friendly, as well (they assemble the item for you so no needles or scissors in your kiddos' hands). They host birthday parties, bridal and baby showers also.
Check them out!

OOTD: Hair Turban How To
A hair turban is a great accessory to keep around if you're a long haired girl, like me. My bangs are growing out now and they're annoying, so I like to keep them out of my face by wearing a top knot or pony tail. But because I prefer the way I look with my hair down, (and I try to look presentable), I will not always venture out in public in a messy bun.
In comes the hair turban, the chic hair accessory that can extend the life of your blowout.

OOTD: Lincoln Road, South Beach MIA, Lacoste
After work on Wednesday, I went to the Lincoln Road Lacoste boutique. Afroza and I met tennis champ John Isner and secretly wished we had worn taller heels. He's in town for the Sony Open. Good luck on Saturday!

Bebe #SpringFling, Avenutra Mall, Miami
On Thursday night, I helped Bebe celebrate the launch of their new Spring collection over at the Aventura mall, while the other half of my pals gathered at the Lincoln Road store.
With the new collection, I found that there is definitely something for everyone. There are lots of body hugging skirts and dresses, but there are also many flowy pieces with vibrant colors and patterns; a definite 'must' in the Miami style market (which may be the reason why they have an entire Miami style section on their website). I had a lot of fun playing dress up and finally settled on a not-so-traditional black and white ensemble.

Flamenco Festival 2014, Adrienne Arsht Center, Miami
I attended Flamenco Festival Miami 2014 with a group of my blogger sisters from Miami. The event was held at the Adrienne Arsht Center. The showing we attended featured famed flamenco star, Eva Yerbabuena. We had a great time! I had no idea what to expect when we were invited to this event; I have never been to a flamenco show, but I found this show to be emotionally charged and very passionate. Without actually uttering one word, the performers were able to convey a story of raw emotion and love lost.
I have a feeling the show will be back soon - you should definitely check it out.

Beauty File: Clarins Spring Line 2014
I was invited to attend a presentation for the new Clarins skincare and makeup line for Spring, 2014. The presentation was centered around the longevity of the brand and the constant efforts made by the company to ensure that only the highest quality and plant based ingredients are used in their products.
Obviously we have all heard of Clarins, but I was surprised to find out that their products are actually also geared towards women that fall into my age group.
One of the most prominent changes in my skin that I began to notice as I entered this age was the moisture level. I have always had oily skin, and I still do, but certain areas on my skin have now become a little dry. My dermatologist started to tout the importance of vitamin C, serums, and anti-oxidants. "You have to keep your skin balanced by using serums."

What.
Ok.
Of course, now I slather on whatever I can get and my skincare regime is about 45 minutes long. Kidding! But I have added some higher end skincare products into my daily routine.

The Spa at the Viceroy, Miami
Sunset from the rooftop Spa deck, at the Viceroy, Miami. |
I was invited to attend the launch of the new spa "menu." And by menu, I mean skin food and other products and treatments...of which my favorite was the Hydrafacial (which is being offered for $99, for a limited time, regularly $150).
