Oscars Roundup Part 2

I love clothes. I really do.  I mean, look at this...

Cate Blanchette in Givenchy Couture.
Unfortunately, you're looking at the best shot that one could possibly get from this dress.
Those little beads remind me of fish eggs/roe from a sushi roll :(

London Fashion Week: Vivienne Westwood

The always intense, always eccentric and always genius Vivienne Westwood.  NY Magazine calls her "the punk-rock grandmother of British Fashion."  Awesome.  I can only hope to be as cool, when I grow up.

Wrist Full of CANDY

I love the look of miles of bangles/wrap bracelets/cuffs piled sky-high onto a wrist.  Mix everything up!!

Bhati Beads - I saw these featured on The Man Repeller a day or two ago.  The wraps are made of silk and they come in a rainbow assortment of vibrant colors.  The perfectly stackable wrap bracelet.

Seal the Deal

I do the majority of my clothing shopping online.  People think that's weird, because you can't try clothes on online but I find that if you know your size in a particular brand and maybe read a review on the item, it makes online shopping easy.

You can oftentimes get better deals online than in store.

I'm an online coupon code girl.

Under the cut is a list of shopping sites with good sales and some coupon codes.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 RTW

This collection got rave reviews, but I'm not sure it was accolade worthy.  The best pieces for me were the coats.  I otherwise thought that nothing really fit properly and the color palette included a lot of brown, which some may like but which does nothing for me.  I do always like leopard print-anything, though.  70's revival, in all it's glory.  All photos via New York Magazine's The Cut.
What do you think?

I can kinda, almost, sorta go for this.

NYFW 2011 days 3 & 4: Jason Wu, Victoria Beckham, Philosophy & More

Thus far, my favorite has been Jason Wu.  Knocked it out of the park in my opinion, with delicate sheer tops, lots of lace work and perfect pants.

The lilac and gray colors work so well together.  I love this look.

Valentine's Day

Valentines day:
My boyfriend does not like “stuff” and as such he may be labeled by some, as difficult to shop for.  I, on the other hand, do like "stuff."  Very much.  One would think that I would be easy to shop for.  Not so.  Not from his perspective, and not from any mans perspective.  It seems that the majority of men cower in fear at the thought of an approaching holiday, birthday, and/ or special event honoring their ladies.  Going shopping is one of my favorite pastimes but for men across the country (I guess) it is one of their least favorite man-duties. (Please note that my male sample group includes: my boyfriend and my father).
Lucky for your - I'm going to break down the mystery behind gift giving.

LV Favorit Bracelet

These may not all be well received but I cannot get over them.  I remember a couple of months ago, the ladies on TPF kept talking about how they were oh, so overpriced (yes!) but so adorable (yes!!) that they were torn as to whether or not they'd be getting one (yes?!!!).

Rachel Zoe Fall 2011 Ready to Wear

Yesterday, Style.com posted photos of the entire RZ Fall 2011 line.
RZ is probably the only completely over-exposed celebrity/famous face that I actually like.  Take note, Beyonce, (or Beh-yon- se, as my mother would say).
I was surprised to find that I didn't like a lot of the collection; a lot of it was not.so.cute.
Still, I love her! Below are some of the pieces that I liked:

A really tailored suit jacket with some super skinny pants.  I like that the fabric looks like it has some sheen to it.

Cross Body bags

The cross body bag; the perfect bag to make the transitions from day to night, seamlessly.  Its recent resurgence has made it so that it is available from high end design houses as well as other affordable retailers like Old Navy or Zara.  So, in an effort to...not be a snob, I present to you...a bunch of bags in a bunch of colors, with a bunch of different price tags.

Chevron stripes never go out

I adore chevron striped anything.
Chloe Silk Mini dress
I love dresses in this style, and particularly this one in one of my favorite color combinations: black and navy.

Hermes Enamel

Hermes Enamel bracelets are a long-time favorite of fashion driven crowds.  They're covet worthy and gorgeous.  Aside from the enamel bangles (and gorgeous handbags), Hermes produces accessories that can make any lady stop in her tracks to gawk.  A favorite of mine is the Collier de Chein line, with cuffs and belts galore (see here).   They also make really gorgeous leather wrap bracelets, like this one. Scroll to the bottom for a list of more affordable enamel bangles, if Hermes is not quite within your budget. xx

I really like 1stdibs.com.  They have a well organized website and their pictures are very detailed.  It's all one-of-a-kind stuff, and it's ALL beyond expensive but that doesn't mean that we can't all look :) Window shopping on the internet.  A total visual encyclopedia.  Can't.stop.staring.
