Adorable Somethings: Things You're Going To Want + Bauble Bar

Hello  & Happy Sunday.  I threw this post together because there have been lots of different items that have caught my eye as of late, which are not necessarily fashion related.  Aren't these cards adorable? Enjoy. xo

Animal Print Dresses: Ann Taylor & Banana Republic

I bought two dresses the other day, both on super sale.  I realize that too much of anything isn't good...Sadly, I'm sure that this philosophy also applies to animal print dresses (oh well).  While both dresses are cut completely differently, they're both leopard print.

The first dress is from Banana Republic - I can't find it online. I believe it's called the faux-wrap and it's similar to the Gemma Wrap dress, without the tie. Similar snakeskin print dress from Kohl's here.  Similar styles here.

The second dress is from Ann Taylor, it is the Animal Print Side Ruched Dress.

Design Element: Cocktail Bling Party

As a kid, I always loved digging around in my mom's closet looking for interesting finds. I'd inevitably steal some of the best stuff in there, and would leave her asking, 'Where did my ___go?" (For a truly accurate account, this must be read in Spanish, in "Mom Tone").  In later years, when my sense of style went from Kurt Cobain (Iwillalwaysloveyou) to Karl, she began taking little shopping trips in my closet.

Accessories are what we swap most.  Purses, necklaces, earrings, rings - all of it.  We both love over the top, big and bold accessories.

Thus: Cocktail Bling.

1. DANNIJO Oxidized Silver Plated Estrella Earrings - How stunning are these? Turquoise and Swarovski crystals.
2. Erickson Beamon White Wedding Crystal Earrings; similar pair here for much less.
3. Kenneth Jay Lane Orange Cocktail Ring (sold out on Stylebop after I made this post) but similar amber stone ring here.
4. Bardot Oversized Party Cocktail Ring
5. Monet Hummingbird Brooch
6. Kenneth Jay Lane Turquoise Bead Drop Earrings Try this or this instead.
 7. Giles & Brother Cortina Cuff

More affordable pieces:

8. Blu Bijoux Oversized Cocktail Ring
9. ASOS Slanted Stone Cocktail Ring on Stretch Metal
10. ASOS Pieces Flica Cocktail Ring
11. Kendra Scott Vaire Ring
12. Style&Co Crystal Cocktail Ring

Original Miami Antique Show, 2012

A couple of weeks ago, I won tickets to the  Original Miami Antique Show courtesy of the adorable blogger, Alyson of The Average Girls Guide (TAGG).  She's a fellow Floridian blogger, like myself, and offered up the tickets on her Facebook page. Despite my recent bad luck streak, I won them.  I'd never been to the antique show, even though it's heralded as the largest in the country?

The majority of the items we saw were jewels! There were gorgeous inlaid furniture pieces, pretty vases and some vintage Chanel's but the pictures I snapped were mostly of jewelry.

A rude twenty-something told me that I "should really ask permission, just so you know, I don't care, but everyone else will care, if you're going to take a picture." My plight.

More pictures under the link.

Recent Acquisitions: ASOS Slot Through Portfolio Clutch

Recently bought this ASOS clutch online, without paying attention to the dimensions. I was surprised to find that it's really large.  As far as envelope clutches go, this is probably the largest one I own.  It took a while to get used to the size at first, but after a couple of days I decided to keep it. I actually kind of love it now.
It's soft on the outside, feels like leather.  The inside is roomy with one zip pocket.
The color is a gorgeous nude. These are Iphone pictures on a gloomy day - with no light. The pictures on the website are more accurate as to the color.

PS: I'm hosting a giveaway which ends 2/14/12 @ Midnight. Enter here.

Valentine's Day Edition: Love It Or Hate It

Hello! I'm way overdue for a post! It has been quite an exhausting couple of weeks; please forgive my absence from the blog.  I've got a lot of exciting posts coming up, but for today, I wanted to feature some items in honor of Valentine's Day.  I know, I know, everyone is doing this.

Well, whatever. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to stay in theme.

LOVE:
1. DVF Chain Link Earbuds  - I thought that these were adorable.  They cost as much, if not less, than any you buy at BestBuy and they're obviously cuter!
2. Kate Spade All Aboard Necklace - Stunning statement necklace. Totally makes a LBD.
3. Gorjana Eros Three Strand Bracelet - Sweet.
4. Michael Kors Chunky Chain Bracelet - The Chain-links look like hearts!
5. Juicy Couture Heart & Arrow Pendant Necklace. Expected but still delicate and pretty.
6. Kate Spade New York Meet Your Match Idiom Bangle - I love enamel. Enough said.
7. Kris Nations Gold Small Hearts Charm Bracelet - One of my favorite's.

HATE:
1. Avindy Sterling Heart Necklace - Gorgeous, heavy piece. Pricey but very unique.
2. Pamela Love Tribal Spike Cuff - It's already got a cult following.
3. Pamela Love Skull Pendant Necklace - So many colors to choose from. Copper and turquoise are  my favorites. The black looks cool, too.
4. Falke Seidenglatt Lace Stay Ups - Classic. A staple. A must.
5. CC Skye Mercy Spike Bracelet - Done in a heavy metal and a bigger spike.
6. Akris Ai Tote - the unattainable black manta.
7. Alexander McQueen Enamel Skull Key Ring - Love the colors.
8. Wildfox Split Heart Necklace - Cunning fox. Under $10!

I'm planning on making this a two-part post.  I'll be publishing more affordable items later this week.
Happy Tuesday...wait..it's only Tuesday? :(
